When seeking a password reset, try to be polite and provide as much information as possible in So basically I reset my password back in March but stupid me forgot to write it down and it's all but forgotten now. I did play GW2 briefly with my GW1 HoM hooked up to it, but I can't find the serial code anywhere, which you need for password reset. I submitted a support ticket, but I truly cannot find any information to speed up the process. Every time i try to log in i encounter an errors that says: "The account name or password you entered is invalid. Please check your information and try again." For Guild Wars 2 players with an existing non-Steam account, add this flag to force the Guild Wars 2 launcher to revert to the username/password login. Do note that it will not link your regular Guild Wars 2 account with your Steam. Never buy anything from Steam as those will not be credited to your regular Guild Wars 2. You've been well-informed. You can probably make symbolic links to avoid copying hundreds of gb. Just make a few folders Cody the small files needed, and add a symbolic link to the 30gb or so .dat File from the root. Instances are stored on the server for a few minute in case you return. If you wait a bit, log out or change map, it should reset from the start. I ran into that. Ended up going AFK for 30 minutes and it fixed itself somehow. Try logging out completely and logging in on another character. I haven't played in a few years and would like to get back into the game and can't remember my password. To reset a password you need your serial number which I have and a character name which I can't remember. I've tried a few that I think are there but they don't work. Support haven't got back to me since I opened the ticket a few days ago. Click here to navigate to the password-reset page. Here are the steps to setup email authentication on your account: Launch the Guild Wars 2 client and enter your ArenaNet account credentials. Press the LOG IN button. I am. I initially thought I'd been hacked, but now I'm wondering: GMail reports no login from anywhere but my home, and even though I've received a few of those "Guild Wars Password Reset" emails, I don't see how they could effectively reset it without access to my email account
How do I change my password? Login to your Guild Wars account on the official ArenaNet account website, where you can change your Guild Wars and/or Guild Wars 2 password(s). Posted April 2, 2021 Title says it all; I haven't had to worry about authentication in over six months because I only ever access my account on the same device. But I'm upgrading to a new computer that is arriving Monday, and only now realize that my authentication number is an old phone number that lapsed over six months ago. Well, today it’s my turn. I think my credentials are fine because I get to the “you have auth turned on, wait for the email” screen but … no email.

Support can't help : (. So The email address associated with my account was compromised. I can't login to it, and multiple attempts with Microsoft to recover the email have been unsuccessful. I reached out to ANet support and told them all of this, and they ignored crucial information regarding the email linked to my game client login being Login screen. The login screen is the first screen shown when you start up Guild Wars: the login dialog, announcements, and other current notices are drawn in front of the current character selection screen backdrop while the camera slowly orbits the area and the current theme music plays. You can manage your options before entering the game .
